Newlywed couple killed in dumper crash in Gkp

Two teenage girls travelling on the same motorcycle were critically injured and are undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Gorakhpur.

: A speeding dumper crushed a newlywed couple near Nauka Vihar under Ramgarh Lake police station limits on Tuesday night while they were returning from an outing with family.

According to police, the dumper rammed into a motorcycle carrying four persons, leaving all of them injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the husband and wife later died during treatment. The deceased were identified as Ritesh ,27, and Sonam ,22, who had married just three months ago in December 2025. Station house officer Sudhanshu Singh said the couple suffered severe injuries in the collision.
