Panchkula | Police book Marina Bay club’s owner for assault

Gaurav Sikr, a resident of Sector 11, Panckula, lodged a complaint against the Marina Bay club owner Abhinav and bouncer for allegedly misbehaving and beating him and his friends

Gaurav Sikri, an advocate who is a resident of Sector 11 and practises at district courts, lodged a complaint against Abhinav, the part-owner of Marina Bay club, situated at Morni Road near Golden Tulip, and his bouncer for allegedly misbehaving and beating him and his friends at the venue on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

In a complaint to the station house officer (SHO) at the Chandimandir police station, he alleged that the accused, his bouncer and a few others had misbehaved with him and his guests while they were celebrating his birthday at the club.

He has also alleged that on the provocation the main accused, the bouncer, who was identified as Harpal, and several others beat him and his guests. “The owner came to the spot and the bouncers pushed two of my guests. Upon hearing shouts, I and my two advocate friends rushed to the spot. Despite our intervention, they beat our friends and subsequently attacked us.”

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
