Technical snag in plane delays U.P. CM’s departure from Agra

The departure of chief minister Yogi Adityanath was delayed by over an hour because of a technical snag in his plane, which returned to the Kheria Technical Airport after 15 minutes of take off. The CM was stuck at the airport for more than an hour, which he utilised by holding a meeting with officials in Agra.
The chief minister arrived by a state plane from Gorakhpur on Wednesday noon. He attended events at Dariyanath Temple in Raja Ki Mandi and at GIC ground in Agra and reached Kheria Technical airport at the scheduled time of departure at about 4 pm.
Agra officials gave the customary send off to the CM and departed from the Kheria Technical Airport. However, they got information about the return of the chief minister’s state plane after about 15 minutes of flying and rushed back to the airport, said deputy commissioner of police (DCP), city, Sonam Kumar.
Not in mood to waste any time, the chief minister held an elaborate meeting in the lounge of the technical airport and was attended by officials of Agra, including those from administration, police, Nagar Nigam and other departments during which various instructions were issued by the CM.
Later, another plane arrived from Delhi which took CM to Lucknow at about 6 pm on Wednesday, officials said.
