While talking to mediapersons he said that the UP government is all set to introduce 1,150 new buses in its service under Operation Kaya Kalap. He said that for the first time after independence, Yogi Adityanath government had paid attention to improving the condition of roadways for the convenience of common people and had made budgetary provision to purchase 1,000 more buses.

Replying to a question he said during the pandemic no buses were purchased and they had no option but to continue the service with the help of outdated buses but the situation would change in days ahead. Singh said that under the supervision of chief minister Yogi Adityanath his department had started the use of technology and android-based electronic ticket system had been introduced.

He said around 12,000 buses are in service today catering to 16 lakh passengers daily and in the upcoming days, facilities in roadways buses would be enhanced.
