A police team under Gomare visited Madhya Pradesh and recovered 52 tola gold ornaments from the relatives of the accused
The Pimpri-Chinchwad police have recovered 52 tola (606 grams) gold ornaments worth ₹26 lakh from Madhya Pradesh and search is on to find remaining booty and the accused. According to the police, 65 tola gold ornaments and ₹9 lakh cash were stolen from a wedding ceremony in Hinjewadi.

The accused have been identified as Ritik Mahesh Sisodia (20), Varun Rajkumar Sisodia (230, Shalu Ragado (28) and Shyam Laxminarayan Sisodia (38) from Kakadiyasi village in Madhya Pradesh.
The accused stole the gold ornaments and cash from a wedding ceremony at Orchid hotel in Balewadi on December 6. The CCTV camera footages found the accused dressed up like a hotel waiter and committed the crime along with his friends, a police official said.
Later, inspector Ram Gomare of Hinjewadi police station received a tip-off about a community from Madhya Pradesh involved in theft at a wedding ceremony. A police team under Gomare visited Madhya Pradesh and recovered 52 tola gold ornaments from the relatives of the accused.
VV Muglikar, senior inspector, Hinjewadi police station, said, “As the Kakadiyasi village is involved in theft activity, we were not allowed to enter the area. The accused are repeated offenders and have cases against them in various states across India.”
