Minister of state for civil aviation and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Murlidhar Mohol, said, “The RPI will be part of the Mahayuti and our discussions with them are underway. There have been some primary meetings for the same.”

Recently, RPI (Athawale) leaders Parshuram Wadekar and others met BJP leaders and submitted a list of where they want to contest the elections. “We gave the list of where we want to contest the elections to the BJP leaders,” Wadekar said.

While the VVA has not yet clarified its stand, city-based party sources confirmed that the party may extend its support to the MVA or Nationalist Congress Party/NCP (Ajit Pawar).

Meanwhile the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is gearing up to contest the elections on its own. Mukund Kirdat from AAP said, “We are preparing for the municipal elections.”

Meanwhile, the Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) declared its list of candidates on Friday. Anand Dave from the ABHM said, “We have decided to contest the PMC elections and our first list of eight candidates has been announced.”
