“We are awaiting the report of a three-member committee of regional transport office (RTO). They have done their inspection and based on details like skid marks, speed, etc., they will submit a report. After that we will decide which sections to invoke,” said Tejaswi Satpute, superintendent of Solapur rural police.

According to officials, the front left tyre of the truck was found in burst condition when the inspectors visited the spot. Whether the burst led to the accident or the accident caused the burst is yet to be ascertained.
