On Tuesday, a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus and an autorickshaw were involved in an accident in Sangamwadi in the bus rapid transport (BRTS) lane at 5 pm.
The auto driver identified as Sandeep Nathuram Kherkar (38), a resident of Rahatni Phata and a female passenger identified as Priyanka Sharma (37), who was travelling in the rickshaw, suffered injuries (PICTURE FOR REPRESENTATIVE PURPOSES ONLY)
No casualties have been reported. According to Bhaskar Pable, police constable investigating the case, the auto driver allegedly entered the BRTS lane. The bus was on its way to Sangamwadi from Shadal Baba Dargha chowk when the autorickshaw came from the opposite direction.

On September 25, a motorcyclist died on the BRTS stretch after a speeding tempo collided head-on on the corridor between Sangamwadi and Shadal Baba Dargha chowk. The deceased was identified as Dhananjay Govind Walunj (24), a resident of Khed. He was reported to not have worn a helmet. The bus was heading towards Sangamwadi when the motorcycle came from the opposite direction.
