India Asia Cup 2025 Squad Announcement Highlights: Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of selectors, announced the 15-member squad for the Asia Cup on Tuesday. Suryakumar Yadav was named captain, and Shubman Gill will serve as his deputy. Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal don't feature in the main squad. The last time India played the Asia Cup in T20 format was 2022, with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the heart of the side. Fast-forward to 2025, and Rohit and Kohli have retired from T20Is, while Bhuvneshwar has faded. A new core has emerged, forcing the selectors into some tough calls.
