"Asif had proposed to me but I turned down the proposal since presently, nothing is more important to me then my career," Veena said.

Reports about Asif marrying Veena recently in London were doing the rounds in Pakistani media for the past few days even as Veena rejected the claims.

The reports also went on to claim that Asif had promised to publicly announce his wedding once he makes a comeback in the national team.

Veena also made it clear that the photographs of the duo shown by a channel and published in some newspapers, where she was seen hugging Asif, were taken during the Basant festival in Lahore.
