Australia on Thursday retained the same squad that won the Hadlee-Chappell Trophy recently for the upcoming triangular One-Day International series against India and Sri Lanka starting in Brisbane Sunday.

The 13-member squad, barring fast bowler Shaun Tait who has taken a break from game due to exhaustion, is the same that defeated New Zealand for the Hadlee-Chappell Trophy before the Test series against India.

The squad includes fast bowler Stuart Clark, who has been ruled out of Friday's Twenty20 International against India in Melbourne due to an ankle injury. But selection committee chairman Andrew Hilditch was confident that Clark would regain full fitness soon.

"The national selection panel saw no reason to change that particular squad since it won the trophy so convincingly," he said.

"Stuart Clark was unfortunately ruled out of the KFC Twenty20 International squad with a slight ankle injury but is expected to be fully fit to take his place in the Commonwealth Banks Series squad."

Squad:

Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist (vice-captain), Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin, Matthew Hayden, Brad Hogg, James Hopes, Michael Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee and Andrew Symonds.
