In a high-scoring game at Trent Bridge, Australia prevailed over Bangladesh to warm up for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup. Batting first, Australia made 219 for 6 in 20 overs helped by an opening stand of 100 by Shane Watson, who made 52 off 23 and Brad Haddin, who made 47 off 29. Michael Clarke’s quickfire 35 (18 balls) propelled them to over 200. However, Bangladesh buckled only towards the end as they ended 38 runs short.

Netherlands, Ireland locked in a tie
