Siva, the former India leg-spinner, had beaten FICA chief executive Tim May for a three-year term, but the players body has cried foul over voting process. It has alleged that BCCI had influenced the other Test playing nations to force their captains to vote in favour of the Indian.

While ICC denied any such irregularity occurred, but it had said that it would consider a written request from the FICA to refer the matter to the Ethics Officer. This, apparently, hasn’t gone down too well with BCCI bosses. The BCCI is not averse to use string tactics but as of now they have adopted a wait and watch policy as FICA continues to cry foul and voice their angst against the Indian board in the media.
