It was strange to see Dravid with a loudspeaker in his hand, standing on the dais and introducing the police personnel sitting beside him. For once, he was not holding centrestage and letting others do that, with total humility. This is not an uncommon sight at the Karnataka State Cricket Association these days. The governance of cricket here is done by cricketers. Anil Kumble is its president while Javagal Srinath is the secretary.
