Hardik Pandya attempts trademark MS Dhoni helicopter shot ahead of IPL - Watch

The Baroda all-rounder has been with the Mumbai Indians since 2015 and has been one of the key players for the three-time IPL champions.

Ahead of the IPL season, Hardik Pandya, who is one of the lynchpins of Mumbai Indians, has hit the ground running in the nets. The all-rounder was ruled out of India’s ODI series against Australia owing to injury, but will return for Mumbai Indians as one of the marquee players.

Hardik Pandya posted a video in which he can be seen playing MS Dhoni’s trademark ‘Helicopter shot’ in the nets. “Guess my inspiration behind this shot?” Pandya captioned the video.

The Baroda all-rounder has been with the Mumbai Indians since 2015 and has been one of the key players for the three-time IPL champions. Despite their mediocre season last year, they remain one of the top draws in the IPL.

Hardik’s form in the upcoming season will be closely observed as he remains India’s best bet as the all-rounder in the ODI squad for the World Cup.

In 45 ODIs, Hardik has scored 731 runs from at an average of nearly 30, and has also claimed 44 wickets.

Apart from Pandya brothers, the others joined the camp are off-spinner Jayant Yadav, leg-spinner Rahul Chahar, pacer Barinder Sran, Rasikh Salam, Mitchell McClenaghan and wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan. Led by Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians will kick-start their IPL their campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 24 at the Wankhede stadium.
