India beat Bangladesh to win Test series

India crushed Bangladesh by 10 wickets to sweep the Test series 2-0 retaining their top spot in the rankings. Another reason for celebration is that Zaheer Khan became the fourth Indian to take 10 wickets in a Test on foreign land. Scorecard

India won the Idea Cup by beating Bangladesh by 10 wickets to win the second cricket Test on the fourth day at the Sher-e-Bangla national stadium in Dhaka on Wednesday. India won the two Test series 2-0.

Zaheer Khan (10-49) took seven wickets in the second innings as Bangladesh were all out for 312, minutes after lunch this day, giving India a two-run victory target.

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and made 233 in their first innings. India, in reply, riding on the twin hundreds by Sachin Tendulkar (143) and Rahul Dravid (111, retired hurt), scored 544 for eight declared.

For Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal made 155 in the second innings after Mahmudullah showed the way with his unbeaten 96 in the first.
