India vs Bangladesh, Women’s World Cup 2022 Highlights: India defeat Bangladesh by 110 runs, boost semifinal hopes

Jhulan Goswami cleans up Ritu Moni to hand India the final Bangladesh wicket. With this India win the contest by 110 runs. In response to India's 229/7, Bangladesh could only manage 119/10 in 40.3 overs. 

Jahanara Alam smashes a couple of boundaries in the previous over bowled by Sneh Rana to take Bangladesh's total to 115/9 after 40 overs. Rana also completes her 10 overs, in which she picked four wickets and conceded 30 runs.

Rajeshwari Gayakwad completes her 10 overs, in which she scalped one wicket and gave away just 15 runs. Her spell also featured four maidens. BAN: 107/9 (38 overs)

Sneh Rana strikes as the ball takes a leading edge of Nahida Akter's bat and balloons up in the air. Three fielders, including Rana, run for it and is evetually collected by the bowler. BAN: 104/9 (36.5 overs)

Due to a technical glitch, we were not able to update the score from the 29th over till the 35th. Bangladesh lost two wickets and reached the 100-run-mark between those overs.  

Rajeshwari Gayakwad keeps things tight as just two runs come off her over. BAN: 78/6 (29 overs)

Jhulan Goswami breaks the 40-run stand between Salma Khatun and Lata Mondal. Khatun is caught-behind on 32(35). BAN: 76/6 (28 overs)

Sneh Rana is reintroduced in the attack but is welcomed with a boundary by Salma Khatun. Seven runs come off the over. BAN: 69/5 (25 overs) 

Rajeshwari Gayakwad comes back in the attack and makes an impact straightaway. There was a huge LBW appeal against Salma Khatun but umpire's call comes to her rescue. BAN: 55/5 (22 overs)

Pooja Vastrakar is re-introduced in the attack as she gives five runs in her over. BAN: 55/5 (21 overs)

We are done with 20 overs and Bangladesh have only managed to add 50 runs for the loss of five wickets. They need another 180 runs from 30 overs.

Salma Khatun takes charge as she comfortably paddle sweeps Poonam Yadav twice in the over. The first gets her a boundary, while the second attempt earns her a double. She then follows it up by playing straight over the bowler's head for another boundary. 10 runs come off the over as Bangladesh reach 50.

Sneh Rana generates some extra bounce, enough to trouble the batter and pick her second wicket. The ball brushes Rumana Ahmed's gloves on it's way, which is caught by Yastika Bhatia at short-leg. BAN: 35/5 (17.2 overs)

Poonam Yadav strikes as Harmanpreet Kaur plucks a sharp catch, fielding at covers. Murshida Khatun is the batter dismissed as she departs for 19(54).

Sneh Rana joins the party as Bangladesh go 3 down with just 28 on the board. Nigar Sultana departs for 3(11) as she is caught by Harmanpreet Kaur at mid-on. They need another 202 runs to win.

Poonam Yadav, who is playing her first match of the tournament, is introduced in the attack. She starts off with a four-run over as Murshida Khatun smashes a short delivery by her for a boundary on the off-side. BAN: 26/2 (13 overs)

Murshida Khatun tries to steal a quick single after punching the ball straight to Shafali Verma at mid-off. Verma was quick to the ball and also gets a direct-hit but the batter completes the run. BAN: 21-2 (11 overs)

Sneh Rana starts off on the same note as others and also creates a chance. However, Rajeshwari Gayakwad fails to hold on to the ball as it dips right in front of her. Probably touched her finger tips. Meanwhile, we are done with the first powerplay as Bangladesh reach 19/2 after 10 overs.

Pooja Vastrakar is introduced in the attack and she starts off with on a good note, picking a wicket in her first over. Fargana Hoque is trapped LBW on 0 after facing 11 deliveries. BAN: 15/2 (8.5 overs)

Rajeshwari Gayakwad is causing problem for both the batter and the wicketkeeper as the ball beats everyone after pitching. Bangladesh will steal a single, which will be the only run from the over. BAN: 14/1(8 overs)

India are not allowing Bangladesh to score freely as one run come off the previous over bowled by Jhulan Goswami. BAN: 13/1 (7 overs)

India have their breakthrough as Sharmin Akhter edges the ball, which is caught by Sneh Rana at slips. Rajeshwari Gayakwad picks her first wicket. BAN: 12/1 (5.1 overs)

Jhulan Goswami pitches it up and wide, enough room for Murshida Khatun to open her arms. However, Yastika puts in a dive to save the ball going past the fielders inside the circle for a four. However, Khatun smashes the following delivery, which was pitched slightly short almost in the same line for a 6. BAN 12/0 (5 overs)

India are keeping things tight as Rajeshwari Gayakwad concedes two runs in her second over. BAN: 6/0 (4 overs)
