India vs New Zealand Live Cricket Score, 1st Test, Day 2: New Zealand remain in control at the end of Day 2, thanks to an unbeaten opening stand between Tom Latham (50*) and Will Young (75*) after the side bowled India out on 345 in the first innings. NZ finished the Day 2 on 129/0 in 57 overs. Earlier, Earlier, Ajaz Patel had wrapped up the Indian innings with wickets of Ravichandran Ashwin (38) and Ishant Sharma (0) soon after the start of the second session. Shreyas Iyer's 105 highlighted India's innings, as he became the 16th Indian batter to reach the three-figure mark on Test debut. He was dismissed by Tim Southee who ended with a five-wicket haul.

Stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane had won the toss and opted to bat, with India facing an early blow as Mayank Agarwal was dismissed on 13. Shubman Gill (52), along with Cheteshwar Pujara (26), stabilised the innings in first session before the former's wicket in the first over after lunch triggered a middle-order collapse.

Pujara and Rahane (35) failed to impress as both threw stong starts, but Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja put an impressive stand to steer India out of trouble.

For New Zealand, Kyle Jamieson starred with figures of 3/47, while Tim Southee took the wicket of Pujara.
