Pandey, who played for Bangalore in 2009 and 2010 editions, was the first Indian to score a century in IPL.

According to TV reports, the player made his displeasure known as he, and many other players, were left out of the IPL auctions after the BCCI made last minute changes to its rules and pulled out all uncapped players from the auction.

The new guidelines made them eligible for a contract of only some lakh rupees, depending on when they made their first class debut without taking into account their previous IPL performances.
