'Not sure if Virat Kohli is going to like me saying this but...': Sunil Chhetri stuns with epic catches at RCB - Watch
Ahead of the MI match, RCB looked in full flow in their practice session on Friday which had a familiar guest in Sunil Chhetri
Amid the glitz and glamour, IPL 2023 kicked off in Ahmedabad on Friday evening with defending champions Gujarat Titans beating MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will begin their campaign on Sunday, in front of their home crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, when they take on five-time champions Mumbai Indians. Ahead of the match, RCB looked in full flow in their practice session on Friday which had a familiar guest in Sunil Chhetri, captain of the Indian football team.

Chhetri, who plays for Bengaluru FC in Indian Super League (ISL) and now identifies himself as a "Bengaluru boy", has been a staunch supporter of RCB for a long time and also has been a very close friend of former skipper of the franchise, Virat Kohli.
RCB late shared a video of Chhetri's day out at the RCB camp with the caption, "Cross culture of sports! Indian football captain and legend Sunil Chhetri dropped by at the Chinnaswamy to watch RCB practice, and spent time with Virat Kohli and the boys."
In the video, the veteran footballer was seen interacting with players like Harshal Patel and Dinesh Karthik and support staff in Sanjay Bangar, who is the batting coach, along with Mike Hesson, who is the Director of Cricket Operations of RCB, as well. Chhetri then met his friend Kohli and shared a long chat as well.
When asked about the conversations the two share, Chhetri said, "It is always about sports or it is a joke. I don't know if many people know this but he is hilarious. That side of his is unrfortunately not known to people and I'm not sure if he is going to like me saying this but ghe is hilarious.
However, the highlight of the video was the diving catch he took during RCB's practice session which left most of the players stunned. He also took a couple of other catches, but he humbly denied when asked if it came naturally to him.
For three straight seasons RCB have managed to make the playoffs and in 2023, the Faf du Plessis-led side would want to make that one extra win and give themselves a chance at lifting the glorious trophy for the first time in history.
