At 68/ 3 with Chris Gayle and Ramnaresh Sarwan back in the pavilion, a quick finish was predicted but the Deonarine hit a half century that not only delayed the inevitable but gave the visitors some hope of a draw. The 128 run stand however ended as the duo fell to the Aussie pace attack. A delivary from Watson deflected off Deonarine's pads and hit the stumps. The rest of the batting line-up couldn't hold up against quality bowling from Mitchell Jhonson and Shane Watson. Watson however was summoned by the on-field umpires after he cheered like a 'gorilla' on taking the catch of Bravo.
Johnson bowled through his stomach pain to take 3 wickets. Australia require a single wicket to win the Test series 2-1.
