Radha Yadav

If there’s one player who is known for her accurate wicket-to-wicket bowling and outstanding fielding, it is Radha Yadav. Born in Mumbai, in a very humble family, Radha made it to the international stage on the back of sheer skills and talent.

At a very young age, coach Prafful Naik, saw her play cricket with the boys in her society’s compound and decided to train her. She started her career with the Mumbai team, before moving to Baroda.

In 2018, she made her debut for India in a T20I match against South Africa. Later in that year, she was part of India’s T20 World Cup squad in the West Indies, where she ended as the joint-leading wicket-taker for her side. Soon, she became a regular for the Indian team in the T20I format.

In the next couple of years, she was part of the 2020 T20 World Cup squad of India when the side finished runners-up. She was also part of the Silver Medal-winning team at the Commonwealth Games 2022 along with the Asia Cup triumph in Bangladesh that same year.

As of 2023, she has featured in more than 50 T20Is for India and has a wickets tally of 62. She has also featured in the Women’s Big Bash League for the Sydney Sixers. Now, she joins the Capitals Universe for the inaugural Women’s Premier League.

She continued to be a regular feature in India’s white-ball setup, playing an important role in the spin department with her control and tactical awareness. Radha was part of India’s T20 World Cup squad in 2024 and went on to be a member of the ODI World Cup–winning squad in 2025. During this phase, she also reached a major personal milestone by completing 100 wickets in Women’s T20 Internationals, underlining her longevity and impact in the shortest format.

In franchise cricket, Radha continued to be influential in the Women’s Premier League. After standout seasons with Delhi Capitals - finishing as their second-highest wicket-taker in 2024 - she featured prominently across WPL campaigns, mixing economy with key breakthroughs and maintaining her role as a pressure bowler in the middle overs. She made a high-profile move ahead of the 2026 WPL season, joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru and adding experience and balance to their bowling attack.

Radha experienced a career-defining WPL 2026 season. She evolved into a primary middle-order anchor and finisher, highlighted by a maiden WPL fifty (66 runs off 47 balls) that rescued RCB from 43/4 against the Gujarat Giants.

The season culminated in a dramatic final against her former team, Delhi Capitals. Chasing a record 204, Radha hit the winning runs with back-to-back boundaries in the final over, securing RCB’s second title.

In February 2026, Radha was appointed captain of India A for the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament in Bangkok. She led the team to the title, finishing as the tournament's joint-highest wicket-taker with 10 wickets at an exceptional economy rate.

Her domestic resurgence continued in the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal competitions, where she captained West Zone to the One-Day Trophy title. In the final against Central Zone, she scored a counter-attacking 92, featuring in a record-breaking 174-run seventh-wicket stand with Shweta Mane, the highest for that wicket in Indian women’s List A history. Just weeks later, she registered her maiden first-class century (108 off 132 balls) during the Inter Zonal Multi-Day Trophy.

Radha Yadav’s return to the national T20I setup was confirmed as she was named in India’s 15-member squad for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in England. Selectors rewarded her for her all-round versatility and her previous success in English conditions.
