Put in to bat, Gujarat lost their last game's hero Shubman Gill on just seven. Sai Sudharsan and Matthew Wade also perished cheaply. Hardik then put up a calculated fifty off 42 balls -- an uncharacteristic but vital knock from the Gujarat Titans skipper.

Manohar had all the luck tonight. He finally perished on 35 after Tripathi managed to pluck a difficult catch after dropping a sitter. Tewatia is the next man in.
