Following the big victory on Sunday, members of the Indian team broke into wild celebrations in the dressing room.
Team India headed to West Indies in the absence of seven of their white-ball regulars which included the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. With Shikhar Dhawan leading the second-string side in the three-match ODI series against Nicholas Pooran's men, the visitors held their nerves in back-to-back thrillers in Port of Spain to seal the series with a game remaining. And following the big victory on Sunday, members of the Indian team broke into wild celebrations in the dressing room.

Shai Hope's special hundred in his 100th appearance in the format for West Indies and Pooran's impactful 74 helped the hosts finish with 311/6 in 50 overs. Shreyas Iyer and Sanju Samson revived the Men in Blue after they went three down for 79 in the 18th over, with their respective half-centuries. Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel then added a quick fifty-run partnership before the later put on a breathtaking show in the slog overs to help India complete the chase with just two balls to spare.
The two-wicket victory helped India seal the series having won the opener by three runs on Friday at the same venue.
“Talent wins game but teamwork and intelligence wins championship! Kudos to team for the amazing face-off! #IndvsWI,” captioned captain Dhawan as he shared the wild dressing-room celebration.
"It was a great team performance. Boys didn't lose the self belief, that is amazing. Iyer, Sanju, Axar everyone was amazing, Even Avesh came out in his debut game and scored those 11 important runs. Thanks to IPL, they perform on a huge stage. I felt that we bowled nicely. They got off to a good start," said captain Dhawan after the series-clinching victory.
The final ODI will be played at the same venue on Wednesday.
