Six killed, 20 injured as bus falls into gorge in Uttarakhand
Six passengers were killed and 20 others injured when a bus carrying them fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand on Monday afternoon.

Six passengers were killed and 20 others injured when a bus carrying them fell into a gorge in Uttarakhand on Monday afternoon.
According to police, the bus that belonged to Garhwal Mandal Owners’ Union Ltd, was bound to Chaubattakhal from Kotdwara in Pauri Garhwal district.
Around 1:30 pm, when the bus was at a steep turn, the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled downwards -- 150 meters towards a ravine.
Bachan Singh Rana, circle officer (police), told HT that the administration reached the spot and started rescue operations. All the injured were immediately taken to hospitals in Kotdwar and Lansdown.
