Uttarakhand IAS official dies of heart attack in Noida

39-year-old Akshat Gupta, district magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar district, had gone to Noida to meet his parents. According to official sources, Gupta had a massive heart attack in the afternoon died thereafter.

An Uttarakhand IAS official died of cardiac arrest at his parent’s home in Noida on Sunday.

39-year-old Akshat Gupta, district magistrate of Udham Singh Nagar district, had gone to Noida to meet his parents. According to official sources, Gupta had a massive heart attack in the afternoon and died thereafter.

His wife, Ridhim Agarwal, is an IPS official posted at Udham Singh Nagar.

Gupta was recently transferred as the managing director of Uttarakhand Roadways Corporation but he was yet to take charge.

Chief secretary Shatrughan Singh expressed his condolence at the death of a young official. Singh said Akshat’s death was a big loss to the state.
