CBSE topper Raksha Gopal turns online sensation thanks to memes, jokes

Move over Sarthak Agarwal as this year’s CBSE 12th board topper Raksha Gopal, who secured 99.6%, has become the butt of all memes and jokes on social media.

Remember Sarthak Agarwal, the CBSE board topper that set the Internet on fire with his 99.6% score a few years back? While he became an overnight online sensation with hundreds of memes and jokes on social media, the Internet has finally found a replacement for the golden boy, with this year’s board results revealing that Raksha Gopal, a student of Amity International School, managed to achieve the same feat.

Gopal, much like Sarthak, scored 498 marks out of the total 500, thus aggregating 99.6%. Don’t believe her score? Have a look at her mark sheet:

Just after she was declared the topper, Twitterati had a field day cracking jokes. Sample some: “2 min silence for Raksha Gopal’s siblings, relatives’ kids, neighborhood kids! May God bless you all,” wrote @shvbajpai. “Raksha Gopal is the national topper of CBSE after scoring 99.6. In other news, DU has declared its cut off at 99.7%” wrote nawab_lucknow. @SirJadeja tweeted, “Arts Student Raksha Gopal From Amity International School, Tops Exam With 99.6%.
