Maximum temperature likely to settle at 44 degrees Celsius in Delhi

The weatherman has predicted “thundery developments” in the later part of the day on Wednesday with the maximum temperature likely to settle at 44 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year, said a MeT department official.

Humidity was recorded at 44%, he added.

The official said the sky will remain partially cloudy through the day and there are chances of “thundery developments” in the evening.

On Tuesday, the national capital recorded its hottest day of the season with the mercury soaring to 46 degrees Celsius in some parts of the city.

The Safdarjung observatory registered a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season’s average.

The minimum temperature settled at 26.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
