NEW DELHI: The Delhi BJP will launch a signature campaign demanding resignation of chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for supporting senior bureaucrat Rajendra Kumar, who has been arrested in a corruption case.

“With each new corruption case coming to light, CM Kejriwal is losing his facade of being ‘Mr Clean’ which he built through a strong PR exercise. Now the fear of losing Punjab elections has made him unstable,” said Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay.

The Congress also attacked Kejriwal on the issue. Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken said that though Kejriwal has mastered the art of playing the victim card, Tuesday’s court’s directions in Rajendra Kumar’s case had left his party exposed. “We would like to ask Kejriwal why were repeated warnings by Transparency International regarding Rajendra Kumar deliberately ignored by his office?” asked Maken.
