“The name of Arvind Kejriwal will go down in history as someone who knows less of politics but sits on dharnas. He talks about good administration in newspapers and spends huge sum of money on advertisements. Someone has correctly pointed out that a circus is going on in Delhi. This, however, will not last for long as the people of Delhi have now recognized the circus and Kejriwalji will get his answer in the next election,” said Mahesh Sharma, minister of state for tourism, culture and civil aviation.

Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta said the A AP had no respect for women.

“The women had gone to meet the MLA to complain about poor supply of water in their area. The anarchic character of the AAP is now out in the open,” he said.

On Kejriwal likening the situation in Delhi with that of the Emergency, Gupta said: “This shows that the mental balance of the party was not right. The CM should have suspended the legislator from the party for use of abusive language and indecorous behaviour and ordered an investigation. The party, however, is trying to shield Mohaniya and is showing that it had no faith in the Indian laws”.

Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said that the arrest of Mohaniya had brought to the fore AAP’s lack of respect for women and also established the fact that there was an extreme water scarcity in remote resettlement colonies and villages of south Delhi.

“Within three days, two FIRs were registered against him. Is this jungleraj in Delhi? Youcannottake law and order in your hand,” said Upadhyay.
