Police said four men pulled the victim inside a car around 5.15 am when she was on her way to a public toilet near her slum tenement. She was dumped in a desolate area in Narela, over 15 km away from her home, after an hour.
The girl, who was barely able to walk after she was thrown out of the moving car, was spotted by a police control room (PCR) van.
“When the police found her, she was writhing in pain and was barely able to walk,” said a police officer. “The PCR van rushed her to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, where it has been confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.”
While the victim was unable to tell the police the make of the car, she could describe the rapists’ appearance. “Based on her version, we are trying to make sketches of the rapists,” said the officer.
A case of rape has been registered at the Shalimar Bagh police station.
