The incident took place on Friday night in south Delhi's Mahipalpur area. Police have registered a case at Vasant Kunj (north) police station and are looking for the accused.
The victim, identified as Joshua, lives in a rented accommodation in south Delhi's Munirka. In his complaint, Joshua told the police that he had hired a cab from outside his workplace in a Gurgaon mall to reach Mahipalpur.
"The cab driver dropped him near Mahipalpur flyover. There, a private cab driver agreed to take him to Munirka. Two more people were already sitting in the cab," said a police officer.
On the way, the duo asked Joshua to part with his mobile phone and ATM cards. He resisted after which they stabbed him with a sharp weapon, forcing him to even reveal to them his secret pin numbers. "The assailants covered his face with a cloth and made him do the rounds of the city with them for an hour, before dumping him in Anand Vihar," said the officer.
