50% discount for Airport Express commuters
Passengers travelling on the Airport Express line will get 50% discount on fares on Tuesday and Thursday for two upcoming festivals - Ramnavami and Baisakhi.
Passengers travelling on the Airport Express line will get 50% discount on fares on Tuesday and Thursday for two upcoming festivals - Ramnavami and Baisakhi.
Tokens will be available on discounted rates on these two days. Presently, the minimum fare on the Line is Rs20, while the maximum is Rs80.
The move is aimed at facilitating visits to Hanuman Temple and Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, said a Reliance Infra spokesperson.
Shivaji Stadium station on the Airport line is located near the Hanuman Temple and the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
"This discounted festive fare offer will encourage people to take the most convenient route in Airport Metro Express, avoiding traffic jam and minimising travel time and cost," the spokesperson said.
The ridership of the Airport Express Line, trains on which run at a speed of 105km per hour, is around 7,000 per day. The operating hours of the trains have been extended to 16 hours from 5am and 11pm.
