The 82-year-old CPI General Secretary was discharged on Wednesday evening and flown to Ahmedabad at his daughter's residence where he will spend a couple of weeks, the party's national secretary, D Raja, told PTI.

Bardhan was admitted to the intensive care unit of the Barauni refinery hospital on August 31 after he complained of diarrhoea and shivering while he was on his way to flood-hit areas of Bihar.
