Police had already blocked Ranjit Singh flyover for general commuters.

Some of the roads that got badly affected included Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Barakhamba Road and Tolstoy Marg.

Police have also restricted movement of commercial vehicles between Rajghat and Ajmeri Gate and diverted them to Mata Sundari Marg.

Meanwhile, Anna Hazare’s supporters clogged arterial roads in New Delhi during evening which led to causing a lot of chaos in traffic movement.

Situation was equally bad on Monday night near India Gate and surrounding roads. Protesters had completely taken over these roads and traffic police were reduced to being mere spectators.

However, on Tuesday, the force prosecuted 170 people for violating traffic norms, including 63 for driving bikes without helmets and 107 for triple riding.
