"It is not that easy to take a decision on the Telangana issue. It is an important issue for the Congress party. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi is seized of the issue. We need to wait and see," Rosaiah told reporters in New Delhi.

He said the Congress alone cannot take a decision on the separate statehood issue as party is dependent on allies.

"We cannot take a decision on the issue. There are many parties involved and we are a coalition government," he said.

The Chief Minister said fast-unto-death and violence were not the solution to any problem and that there were many forums to address the issues.

"When there is violence, it becomes easy for some anti-social elements to get involved in that. That makes it difficult to identify the people involved in violence," he said.
