Arunachal CM meets Sonia, discusses election-related issues

Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, PCC chief Nabam Tuki and other senior leaders from the state tonight met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and discussed various issues including finalisation of candidates' list for the October 13 Assembly Election.

Arunachal Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, PCC chief Nabam Tuki and other senior leaders from the state tonight met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and discussed various issues including finalisation of candidates' list for the October 13 Assembly Election.

Apart from the selection of candidates, the meeting also discussed other election-related issues concerning the state, sources said.

The state leadership has already finalised the list of probable candidates and it has been submitted to the Central leadership, the sources said.

The meeting was also attended by chairman of the Screening Committee for the State, Oscar Fernandes.
