Blasts: Notice to Gujarat govt

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought a response from the Gujarat Govt on a petition filed by the Delhi blasts accused challenging their police custody for investigations into the Ahmedabad blasts, reports Harish V. Nair.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought a response from the Gujarat government on a petition filed by the Delhi blasts accused challenging their police custody for investigations into the Ahmedabad blasts.

Issuing a notice to the Gujarat government, Justice Kailash Gambhir asked the state police to file a reply by December 11.

On October 31, the Delhi Police had submitted before the High Court it had strong evidence that suspected Indian Mujahiddin (IM) terrorists arrested for their alleged involvement in Delhi blasts were also linked to the blasts in Ahmedabad on July 26.

The police claimed they had recovered incriminating material, including laptops and CDs, from the suspected IM terrorists that pointed towards their role in the terror attack in Gujarat.
