A 40-year-old man was crushed to death by a Blueline bus in Bindapur in West Delhi on Monday. Pratap Kumar was the second victim of Bluelines this year. His face was crushed by the wheels of the bus.

Pratap was crossing the road when the incident took place around 7.30 am on Nazafgarh road. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have arrested the driver of the bus identified as Dileep. The driver is a resident of Paschim Vihar and was in an inebriated condition when the accident took place. Police also recovered a liquor bottle from the spot.

On Saturday, a Blueline bus crushed a young man in East Delhi, making him the first victim of the ‘killer’ buses this year. The victim came under a Blueline plying on route No. 301 between Mayur Vihar Phase-III and Red Fort. In 2007, the buses claimed the lives of more than 120 people.
