The person will have to provide either audio or video recording as evidence to substantiate the charge.

“We are starting a new scheme under which anyone who gives actionable audio or video evidence against any police personnel involved in corrupt practices will be given a reward of Rs 25,000,” Bassi said in a interview to India Today TV channel.

“Persons providing actionable evidence against any other civilian involved in corruption will also be eligible for a reward of Rs 10,000. Anyone can now send an audio or video on WhatsApp to 9910641064 and also make a complaint on 1064 helpline.”

The Aam Aadmi Party had used the survey findings to take pot shots at the police. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal once again made a case for handing over the control of Delhi Police to Delhi government.

Stepping up attack against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kejriwal tweeted saying he should “stop being stubborn” and hand over police and Anti-Corruption Branch to AAP government. “Shocking findings CMS survey 2day-Del police (under Modiji n his LG) most corrupt- scathing attack on Modiji’s capbilities n intentions.”

“Second finding — corruption has come down in delhi govt — it proves AAP govt’s neeyat n admn capability (sic).” Kejriwal tweeted.

Responding to the Kejriwal’s barbs, Bassi said that the Delhi government should focus on their own work and let the police do theirs. He also reminded the party of their ministers being embroiled in corruption scandals.

Speaking to reporters, Bassi said, “Six ministers in the AAP government are facing a tough time fighting corruption charges against them. So, they have a lot of work to do,” he said.
