"The question is whether Vanzara will be more agreeable now to disclose facts related to the conspiracy behind the Ishrat encounter? As of now, there does not seem to be anything of direct evidentiary value in the letter," said a source.
When asked if the CBI may question Vanzara again, the agency's director Ranjit Sinha said, "We are looking into the possibility."
The CBI meanwhile is unlikely to grill Intelligence Bureau's former special director Rajinder Kumar again in the case. According to the CBI's case charge sheet, Vanzara had allegedly claimed to have kept the then state government's top authorities in the loop.
