"The skies have been overcast since morning and thundershowers are expected in some parts of the city," an official of the India meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The minimum temperature was five notches above normal at 14.7 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to hover around 25 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level was recorded at 73%.
