The death toll in the Mehrauli blast in south Delhi on Sunday rose to three with one more person succumbing to his injuries at a hospital in New Delhi.

The unidentified man, who was injured in Saturday's blast at Mehrauli's flower market and admitted to the AIIMS, died today, hospital superintendent John Bera said.

Police said at least 22 people were injured in the explosion, which came exactly two weeks after the national capital was rocked by five near-simultaneous blasts in which 24 people were killed and more than 100 injured.

Riding a black motorcycle, two men in black dress and wearing helmets, dropped a black polythene bag containing a tiffin box opposite an electronic goods shop in the flower market at about 2.15 pm on Saturday.

A 13-year-old boy Santosh Kumar died when he picked it up to give it back to the bikers.

One of the injured -- a 60-year-old unidentified man whose cervical was badly fractured -- succumbed at the AIIMS last night.

The explosive shattered the window panes of several adjacent shops in the market, located close to the historic Qutab Minar, which was bustling with shoppers.
