Ahead of the Joy of Giving Week, which starts on October 2, many people have pledged to try and make a difference to the lives of those who need a helping hand. “Udayan Care — an NGO —is planning an initiative to create new shelter homes by reaching out to corporates in Delhi for support,” said Venkat Krishnan, a Joy of Giving Week volunteer.

The Joy of Giving Week encourages people to give anything, from clothes, books and money to time, to and create an event that will bring joy to someone.
