"Delhi hardly gives warmth to those who migrate here. And why should we label only Delhi as a cold city when every metropolis shows coldness to migrants?" said a Bench, headed by Justice Pradeep Nandrajog, in a judgement.

The remarks came while explaining the plight of a 14-year-old boy, who had migrated to Delhi from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh. He was a key witness to a murder in the city’s Krishna Nagar area in 2001.

The Bench was dealing with an appeal filed by a person serving life sentence for murder. The Bench found from witness statements that the witness didn’t get any local support and had been threatened not to depose against the accused.
