On Tuesday, nine prominent women’s organisations got together at the office of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) here to pass a memorandum against ‘dilution’ of the law by a Delhi High Court order passed on August 4.

The Union Ministry of Women and Child Development will sit down on Wednesday to review the law that makes the offences non-bailable.

The court judgment last month had stressed ‘reconciliation’ for married women seeking to invoke Section 498A.
