Delhiites got some respite from the intense heat on Monday after few parts of the city experienced dust storms which brought down the temperature.

The temperature which had been registered at 42.6 degrees Celsius earlier in the day dropped to 36.4 degrees Celsius in the evening after dust storms were witnessed in areas neighbouring IGI and Safdarjung airports.
“Dust storm of moderate intensity, with the wind speed of 48 and 40 kms per hour, hit Delhi at Safdarjung and IGI airports at 3.46 PM and 4.10 PM respectively. The Met officials, however, dubbed the decrease as a temporary respite following a western disturbance.
