A fortnight after a girl was found dead in a southwest Delhi locality, city police on Saturday released a photograph of an unidentified man it recovered from the spot.

The teenage girl who went to celebrate the New Year with friends was murdered in Dwarka on December 31, as investigators claimed that she was killed after alleged consensual sex.

“During a search of the crime scene, a photograph of unknown person was recovered. Sustained efforts have been made to identify the person. Identification and location of the person may give some clue about the culprits of the case,” said a senior police officer on the condition of anonymity, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.

A reward of R25,000 has also been declared by the police for any clues leading to identification of the person. HTC
