The much-awaited flyover will be thrown open to public on October 5. Hindustan Times was the first to report this on Saturday.

Although the independent consultant is yet to give its permission to allow traffic on the carriageway, it is expected that all necessary clearances will be available by October 5 for trial operations on one of the carriageways, said a Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) release.

“The entire elevated highway with both carriageways is expected to be ready for inauguration by November,” the release said.

The inauguration of the flyover generated controversy on Friday when Haryana BJP chief Krishenpal Gujjar forcibly threw it open to public. However, company officials immediately put up barricades on both sides of the flyover.
