Father of five kills paramour, arrested

Police have arrested the father of five children who allegedly stoned to death his lover in broad-day light on the busy Surajkund Road on Wednesday evening. The Surajkund police received a complaint from one Krishenpal Chaprana of Mewla Maharajpur, stating that he saw a man beating a woman near a temple on Surajkund Road and also threw stones on her head.

The victim identified as Shermista, 43, mother of two daughters, was rushed to a private hospital in sector 21
where she died.

Her husband lives in Modi Nagar along with two daughters. The accused, identified as Anand Sharam, 53, of Pandav Nagar in Delhi, has been arrested.
On the basis of the preliminary enquiry, both Shermista and Anand Sharma were living together for the last one year in Pandav Nagar New Delhi.

The duo visited Siddhata temple on Surajkund road on Wednesday when some altercation broke between the two and Sharma allegedly stoned her to death.
“We have registered a murder case against the accused and he is being produced before the court", Raj Kumar DCP NIT said.
